Happy New Year!

Happy New Year to all of you.  Have you made your resolutions for the new year yet?  We seem to be very good about making lists of things to do and then around the month of March, give up and wonder what happened.  Hopefully, you are ready to accomplish those goals that will get you moving in the right direction.  How will you hold yourself accountable this year?  Submit your ideas.  It may help someone else.

The Life Line

Do you remember the last time you cried?  Isn't funny how we seem to call on those around us - family and friends when we are down and out.  All too often, the ones we turn to can do very little to help us.  It's during those trying times that you wish someone would just throw out a life line and give you the help you need.  Sad to say, it's also during these times that you find out who your real friends are.  The holidays seem to be extremely stressful for some, especially when they feel that no one cares.

Who do you turn to when you're stressed out?  Is there a special person that you can always count on to be there for you?  Maybe you've been a friend to someone in need over the holiday.  Christmas cheer shouldn't end on the 25th of December.  Share your story and make someone else's day.

Pray for the Nation-It's Time to Pray America

In these times of uncertainty, there are many who are being driven to pray.  People are hurting financially, physically and emotionally.  We should also keep the leaders of this great nation in prayer.   II Samuel 23:3, says that he who rules over men must be just, ruling in the fear of God.

If you are in need of prayer, you are invited to add your prayer request or name to our prayer list by clicking in the comment section.

What's the Measure of Your Faith?

What a week!

There are days when you wonder why you ever got out of bed.  I am sure you all know what I mean.  Sometimes you feel like giving up and calling it quits.  Then you realize that others are depending on you and you have to try just one more time.  How do you cope when you have given it your all and you're still having a tough time?  Share your comments.

Hello and Welcome!

Domestic violence is becoming more prevalent in our society.  There are countless numbers who have experienced some type of violence at the hand of the one who professes to love them.  As a survivor of domestic abuse, I often have the opportunity to share my experience with others when traveling to various military installations for book signings.  My book entitled, Unequally Yoked received positive reviews from many of my readers because it is a very realistic portrayal of the horror faced by those in abusive relationships.  I delve into the issue of domestic violence in the military because it is a concern within many military communities.

Many ask why would someone choose to stay in a violent relationship.  What's your take on the issue?  If you are in a violent relationship, why do you stay?  If you have experienced domestic violence in the past, what finally made you leave?  Share your comments and be sure to visit my site at hiswordinseason.com.  I am sure that you will be inspired by my story A Masterful Plan.   I look forward to hearing from you.
